Last Friday night was another fun and fluffy event!! The Nevada Humane Society had their annual SHINE event at the Beach at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.  This event started at 6:00pm and went on until 9:00pm.  It was an all-white event.  No amount of wind nor earthquake could ruin this night for the animals.

The Nevada Humane Society had a goal of raising some money and getting their homeless pets adopted. Their five to seven dogs on hand to show off their stuff and see if they could found their new loving home.  Two of those dogs found new homes that night.   Ren and Stimpy which were sibling were adopted that night by two women who were related.  Ren and Stimpy were not going to be separated; they will get to see each other.  That was only one story with a happy ending.

Alicia Gardener was the one who has been highly involved The Nevada Humane Society.  She asked if I wanted to volunteer with her on Friday night.  We were paired with Fluffy, this gorgeous shepherd collie mix who had a little bit a Dalmatian mix too.  He was 8 years old and was homeless.  Such a well behave dog with perfect manners. Very lovable and got along with other dogs and cats and love all people. At the end of the night this nice couple was falling in love with Fluffy.  The guy couldn’t stop talking about Fluffy and hanging out with Fluffy.  They said that they were going to go down the next day and adopt Fluffy. Talk about a very successful event.  They had a good turn out even though there were tons of other events going on.
